Everything about the Securidou Humidifier
Empty and rinse the tank. Once a week, clean the inside with a mixture of water and white vinegar (ratio 1:1), leave it for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. The cleaning brush supplied lets you reach the corners. Always use fresh, clean water (filtered water is recommended to reduce limescale deposits).
Diffusing essential oils is advised against before 3 months. Always use the dedicated tray (never directly in the water) and a minimal amount (2-3 drops). If in doubt, consult your paediatrician.
The humidifier runs at under 30 decibels, the equivalent of a soft whisper. For comparison, a quiet bedroom measures around 25-30dB. Ultrasonic technology eliminates the mechanical noise of conventional humidifiers.
The 2.5 litre tank gives a run time of 10 to 12 hours in continuous operation (average output). In automatic mode, the device adjusts the output according to the measured humidity, which can extend the run time. For a standard baby's room (10-15m²), one fill in the evening is enough for the whole night. The automatic shut-off is triggered when the tank is empty.
