    Degrease and dry the sliding panel and the frame: the adhesive does not hold on a greasy or damp surface.

  2. Stick

    Stick the latch housing onto the sliding panel and the anchor onto the frame, then press for a few seconds.

  3. Adjust

    Hook the chain at the length you want. Check the adhesion after each cleaning of the window.

Yes. The Securidou Window Lock sticks onto the sliding panel and the frame of sliding windows and sliding patio doors. Its adjustable chain limits how far the sliding panel travels to a few centimetres to let air in, or holds it almost closed. It also fits on a cupboard or fridge door.

This is the situation it is designed for. The double-action mechanism requires pressing and sliding at the same time, a coordination that is difficult at this age. No device is foolproof: it does not replace adult supervision. For an adult, unlocking takes a second, in a single movement.

The reinforced adhesive is designed for clean removal. It fits on PVC, aluminium or wood, painted or varnished, provided the surface is clean and dry. The two housings also have screw holes, if you prefer to fix them with screws.
